Here I review another fabric haul from French Connections. It is a fabric, gift and antique shop located in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Recently, I’ve been looking for some African dutch wax cotton for upcoming projects in quilting and sewing. So, I’ve been venturing through Etsy shops to look for some reliable vendors to source these fabrics.
A little bit of the backstoryโฆ
I first found French Connections after searching for African prints at Etsy. One thing great about Etsy is that you can search by topic. You get a variety of fabric listings from a variety of shops on Etsy. I collected the fabrics into my shopping cart. Then, I went through checkout to see what the final prices would be for each fabric.

I chose French Connections because the fabric was beautiful; the prices were reasonable and they had free shipping. Upon ordering that first time, my order came in 2 days via USPS – Priority. The fabric was clean and beautifully packed. It included a 15% discount card for visiting the store. There was also a lovely postcard about the store and online shop.
Fast forward to this fabric haulโฆ
So, first I wanted more of the black and white fabrics. These fabrics make great trims and accent pieces within a quilted work.

I also found a family of bold, graphic prints in black/white with accent color orange, cobalt blue, and turquoise. I’d like to use these fabrics in some bag projects that I will work on this fall and winter.

I also got a beautiful Kente cloth and other fabulous patterns shown below. Very happy with this fabric haul! Thanks French Connections.
